Dear Members,
My name is JC, I live in Hollywood, California, I am a digital artist with a profound affinity for Monster High Dolls. Several months prior to the onset of the Covid-19 lockdowns, my husband experienced a life-altering stroke, rendering him permanently disabled.
This unfortunate turn of events, compounded by the far-reaching effects of the pandemic, compelled me to shut down our cherished business—a venture we had nurtured since we met in 1993. While this decision was heart-wrenching, the aftermath of the stroke gave rise to severe psychosis in my husband, transforming him into a person I scarcely recognized. Faced with a no local support, I shouldered the arduous responsibility of caring for him as he grappled with distressing hallucinations.
Though he has made considerable progress, he continues to contend with sporadic episodes of psychosis, which I suspect may persist. Regrettably, these circumstances have plunged us into a precarious financial predicament. Matters reached a point of such gravity that I found myself compelled to part with my cherished collection of Monster High Dolls.
I have joined this forum in the hope that, amidst kindred spirits who share a passion for these dolls, I might encounter someone who not only desires to acquire my most cherished doll, but who will also appreciate and value her, rather than viewing her as a mere commodity for resale. She is undeniably an extraordinary doll, deserving of nothing less. Identifying the right custodian will undoubtedly alleviate the profound guilt I currently bear.
The doll in question is none other than the SDCC Monster High 2013 Wydowna Spider / Webarella. Her box bears the signatures of 8 artists who contributed to her creation. Notable among them are the illustrious Monster High creator, Garret Sanders, the accomplished artist, Darko Dordevic, and the esteemed packaging illustrator, Kellee Riley. The doll comes encased in two boxes—an outer and an inner. While there is some minor wear to the corners of the outer box, the inner box remains unopened and in pristine condition.
I also have the Sweet 1600 Frankie, in her original, unopened box, complete with the accompanying key. Lastly, I have the Dance Class dolls in a set of five—a Target exclusive, in an unopened box in excellent condition. I have clear photos of all the dolls and their boxes.
I extend my deepest gratitude to you for taking the time to read my post, and I hold hope that one among you may be the deserving recipient who will provide Webarella, or any of the other dolls, a cherished home. I would be immensely grateful for any guidance that might aid me in my pursuit of a discerning buyer. This is a path I never envisioned myself having to take, and I find myself somewhat adrift as to where to begin. While I pondered the prospect of selling her on eBay, I felt compelled to first reach out to a community of fellow Monster High enthusiasts. I am hoping that I am not breaking any rules by adding my email address, but uncertain as to how anyone will be able to reach me. For anyone would like to email me, you can do so by writing to my email address jcinhollywood@protonmail.com
With heartfelt thanks,
JC
